Does any one know of a really good editing software for editing photo's? I know Photoshop is meant to be one of the best, but is there anything out there which is easier & just efficent to use? As I really sometimes dont understand photshop.

I really like Macromedia/Adobe Fireworks. It's a lot cheaper than Phooshop too. :)

Well I use MS Paint in the accessories.
Trust me in Windows XP it is really advanced.
Though one cant do advanced formatting to pictures but basic things can be easily done.

I have used all softwares like PaintShopPro by Jasc Software and also Adobe Photoshop too.

But they are not as easy as they seem.

However if you want a really simple software with a lot of features and an easy interface then try Google Picasa.
This remains my top pick as it is really cool

I can't imagine working with any other than Photoshop once you know what your doing its easy. It only takes seconds to brighten or crop a photo. Photoshop is designed to make use of dual processors unlike 95% of software that will only use one processor.

Gimp is free and is supposed to be ok for basic users has anyone tried that?

I agree I think photoshop is the best photo editing software out there at the moment. All thought it may look mind boogling when you first look at it, it is rather easy to pick up and use. Just read a few tutorials and you will be well on your way.

MS paint at it's very best is hardly a tool for finetuning your photos such as for stock sales. I would adore to have photoshop but I can't be spending that much money. I didn't even spend that much on my car.

photoshop Elements is £80 its Photoshop with loads missing so you need to check if its got photo editing tools.

Gimp is free but I don't use it. It can't be anywhere near as good as photoshop.

I've never used Photoshop. I like Picassa better than what I was using which was Adobe.
