Have you tried hooking it up to a normal PC Monitor ?

... silly question maybe, but are you certain you are hitting the correct key to enter bios ?

Hmm, well for starters I wouldn't put it past computer manufacturers from preventing you from accessing the Bios, but as philthomas said, are you using the correct key to try to enter the bios? what key are you using? On most (all that I have come across) motherboards it is the del key to enter the bios.

Wen the computer boots, i get a packard bell splash screen and on it it says to access the bios press F2, so that is what i am doing. I have just tried the DEL key, and the computer boots into windows.

Hmm, that's strange, so, when you press F2, it tries to enter the bios, but flickers like it's the wrong res, then what does it do? does it restart the computer, or do you restart it?
