My desktop date keeps changing to 2088 every once in a while
eg ....

If its 23-2-2009 then it becomes 23-2-2088

Windows normally sets the date via the Internet. Try changing the date server in the clock options under 'Internet Time'

If Internet time is not enabled then Windows gets the time from the BIOS, which could be getting messed up if the BIOS/CMOS battery is flat or low so it loses it's saved time.
