Hi guys.

I have loads of viruses on my pc, and windows won't load properly, it takes about 40 tries to actually log on.
I get a message saying something like:

There has been a problem loading Windows, maybe because of a software driver change......

To load windows with the most recent settings, select loads with old configuration, or select from below:

Safe mode
....
...

When I try and reformat, (BIOS - Primary loading device is CD), it comes up with boot from cd, press any key to continue,

I do that, and windows doesn't start the installation process, it comes up with that message again. I have no idea as to how I can reinstall windows!

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks, Paul.

Do you have a USB keyboard? They dont work in DOS. Get a PS/2 one.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes, it is a uSB one, will a standard one work, which plugs into the keyboard port?

Yeah, get a PS/2 standard port keyboard. USB ones do not work in DOS thus the computer thinks you are not pressing a key and boots of the hard drive.
