Im trying to find a good programming language for programming games. I've messed around with C++ but before i really get into it , i need to know if thats the best language to learn for writing script for games.

C++ is the best!
But, if you're looking for something easy, try Pascal!
I know both C++ and Pascal, and Pascal is easier, but more limited.

Nowdays there are custom higher level languages made exclusively to create games. And if you dont want to start from the scratch then you can simply use some generic game engines for genre of your game and build your game and characters over it.
