I've been sent a .rar file and have never heard of one and therefore do not know how to open it. Any ideas please?:(

I remember the first time I was given software compressed in a .rar file. I was lost the the guy couldn't figure why I couldn't open it.

Winrar is the best archiving and compression tool made for windows. I use it almost everytime, as beyond archiving, it also splits files. I brought its full version also,upgradingfrom its 40 days trial.
