How do you remotely control or access your PC at home? One popular is thru the site LogMeIn. You can also use the Remote Desktop of your Windows XP. Without Windows XP, you tap RealVNC.

I have used XP to perform basic repairs on customers PC's via the Remote Access tool but sites like LogMeIn don't appeal to me. I have no reason to be connecting to my home PC.

I carry my trusty Dell laptop around if I need access to a computer at any time, just transfer files over that I will need for the day.

I wouldn't exactly know where to start although I have heard of Remote Desktop, I do not know if that is just for servers, or what have you... Nevertheless, I only have two computers and never shall they be connected to the internet at the same time!
