How the hell do I get it to work?!

I've googled the nuts off it, and thats after hours of fiddling.

iTunes on all the OS's is set to exactly he same iTunes foler, on a drive that no OS boots from, purely for data.

Yet on each it holds seperate data like lyrics, playcount rating etc.

I really need to have it so that whatever music I put into
S:\Music\

is automatically adopted by all the iTunes', which are all set under preferences to have the library in
S:\Music\iTunes\

What've I done wrong?

I can't network it because obviously only one of the three OS's would be active on the network..

Appreciate someone helping with this..

Ok, I had an idea.

Exporting a library, and then importing it again in the other OS, that works.

But it's sure as hell a pain in the ass.

Would it be possible to write a simple script to do this automatically every time I open/close iTunes?

Even if i was almost like a macro, so every time iTunes opened, it woul automaticaly press Ctrl+F, down, down, down till library etc. etc.

Anyone have any idea how well that would work, and what language would be best, and how to actually implement it?
