New update today. v2.9 added this to my Firefox.

Edit: At least it was easy to turn off.

Apparently in the next version they are to make it skinable and incorporate a download manager

I just plucked this bit of info off of the web.

I just updated to the latest version of site advisor and found that it puts 2 02 bho's 1 018 protocol and 2 023 services entries in my HJT log.

I think I may be rolling back to the previous version. It does the same job I believe just minus the bloat.

Older Versions of SiteAdvisor at Download.com.

Site Advisor is now gone from my computer. It wouldn't work without allowing the extra startup and services. You couldn't even disable it without a hassle.

Now using WOT. Internet Security | WOT Web of Trust

It's pretty good so far.
