Hi guys, I'm having problems when installing a Car Parts Catalogue on DVD.
If I try to install it using my SATA DVD RAM drive I get an error, I've attached a pic of the error. If I install it using my old IDE DVD ROM drive it installs no problem, it also seems to fail to install on laptops and some DVD drives no matter what kind, I'm pulling my hair out trying to work out what the problem is. Help appreciated. Sparky |

Where did you get the CD?

It's a genuine DVD if that is what you are asking?

It wasn't, just wondered it is was a major manufacturer or not.
Either way if it doesn't work in random PCs and laptops where other software works just fine what else can you other than contact them. |

I don't think it is anything to do with your computer.
You need to ask for a new CD.

Although the disc is genuine, it's not available for general sale, so I can't go to the manufacturer/supplier for support.
But if it was a faulty disc, would the fault not be uniform? Funny thing is, if I copy the files to the HDD and try to install from there, I get the error too? |

Seems strange to me.
I would think that it would be uniform if the disc was at fault. You could try copying all the files from the CD and then burning it again. It may help.
