New release - Sun Java Runtime Environment 6 Update 13
Download Free Java Software - Sun Microsystems Java SE 6 Update Release Notes. Additional Note: The Java Quick Starter (JQS.exe) adds a service to improve the initial startup time of Java applets and applications. To disable the JQS service if you don't want to use it, go to Start > Control Panel > Java > Advanced > Miscellaneous and uncheck the box for Java Quick Starter. Click OK and reboot your computer. |

I think with Windows 7, IE8 and Google Chrome still being updated/built I suspect we will see a few more Java updates this year. They seem to be coming quicker than usual and that's the only reason I can think of

I'm not sure they will be updating it now that Java removes the previous versions starting with v6 Update 12.
