I have three problems. I will start with the least important and the last one is most important for me. Please help with one or more. 1. How do I set Windows Vista to use 16 colours or only grey/black/white or only black and white? I have laptop, the lowest I can go is 256. I have Intel 945GM card. 2 My laptop has Centrino Duo and Phoenix BIOS. I connected a "hama" USB floppy drive. I tried to boot from a discette with MS-DOS 3 and Windows 1. It boots, but it is just a black screen with a blinking underline at top-left. The discette drive keeps making "reading sound" until I reboot. I have tried disable the second processor-core too. I can boot other discettes on my computer and the DOS/Windows discette is bootable in Virtual PC. What is going on here? 3 There seems to be a hidden partition on my computer, and I can boot from a included CD to reinstall Vista. First time I booted it install without CD at all. The CD I inserted is labeled Vista. There is tree of them but I only need one. I think the hidden partition is used to install Vista. But I also want another operating system on it. Windows 95, 98 or ME. And if possible also Solaris and FreeDOS. But how do I install on my empty partitions (not the hidden partition)? I will not remove the Vista part, because I have some programs and have used much time making the settings perfect. How do I install it without making Vista unbootable? Just so you know: The Vista installation deletes whole hard disc.

I have no idea about 1 and 2, but for number 3 you could always do a virtual machine. Google " virtual machine" and you will find plenty of info.

Like I said, I already have Virtual PC from Microsoft. The discette boots OK there, but I try to do it for real.
