| I live in Portugal and miss english TV. Is there any downloads recomended for Laptops (with only 56kbps). We used one a while back (can't remember what it was called), but it was impossible to watch & understand, due to the bad reception. Any recommendations?....Free if possible! (or cheap, but with a free trial). x |

| You must have mates in the UK still Fluffy, get `em to send you the latest offerings of what you want on dvd.

Downloading video files on a 56k connection is pointless as you will be there forever. In my earlier days when I didn't know any better and decided a P2P thing might be good, I looked at getting Titanic on a 56k connection. It would have took 1 week and 2 days if I remember rightly to download, bear in mind with a dial up connection you will get cut off every 2 hours anyway so that adds to the time. I didn't down it but still got saddled with all kinds of spyware and crap by installing P2P. In other words forget it. My System: #

| I've tried the download thing b4, and like you said a waste of time- a whole day for 1 film. I don't think I made myself clear earlier, sorry. I meant these satelite TV & cable programs you can download & watch live. Is this a waste on 56Kbps too? We can some times get 384Kbps, when we're lucky! |

| I do not condone downloading films via P2P, that would be wrong. All downloading is the same, it's all slow with 56k. Try watching something via youTube, if it's slow and bad quality then that's no different to you find a website offering TV programmes. |
