I set up a password, which is asked for upon turning on the computer. However, the computer is now saying that my password is incorrect. It is correct as I jotted down the password on a slip of paper. I cannot use my laptop at all now, and any help would be greatly welcomed. I did not set up a password reset disk. I would also strongly prefer not to have to take the laptop to a shop t have it repaired, if at all possible.
Thanks in advance. P.S. Although this might not have been relevant, the computer ran out of battery at one point. It was after this that the problem arose. |

Have you tried the password with caps on then with caps off?

try a few different variations in case you mistyped something, easy to do!
best of seeing if it is that, before trying to reset the password. |
