Default Undelete problem.

I deleted a .doc file by mistake, i use Recover My Files for those kind of accidents, I have used it before several times but now it doesnt even look for any file in drive C, but in other partitions it finds whatever is in there, so i try with Final Data Enterprise and when i try drive C says : this file format is not supported... finally just in case i download FreeUndelete to test if is the programs or something... I get Drive C: Undelete is not supported...

I am kind of wondering what happened there... any clue?

Try one or some of these. They are all free.

thanks but it seems to be that there is a problem in the C: drive, it doesnt matter what program i use it wont work... as i mentioned before i tryed 3 programs already and none of them even look for anything or gives me errors, but if i search in the other drives they work perfectly.

Im sure there would not work either, i am trying to figure out why they cant read drive C. if my pc is working perfectly and i can access the drive c perfectly.

I hope you mean NTFS, thats the latest file system and you're changing from FAT/FAT16/FAT32?

Microsoft have a guide on their site!

Clueless as far as the problem goes though, I'll dig around

So like Razer said, you're trying to change from FAT/FAT16/FAT32 to NTFS? Because I know
I did this recently, so yeah...
Just make a backup of the data just in case something goes wrong, but it shouldn't.

Open up command prompt. (Click start, click on run, type cmd and press enter.)
Then type, where 'driveletter' is the letter of the drive you want to convert.
Code:
convert driveletter /FS:NTFS
So if you want to convert C: drive to NTFS, it will look like this:
Code:
convert C: /FS:NTFS
So after that, press enter. It might ask you whether to force dismount the drive or not, choose no. Then it will ask you if you want it to schedule it next time the computer starts up. Choose yes. Then restart your computer, and wait for it to finish converting. Shouldn't take very long, my 250GB external only took 5 minutes. Then you're done.

I think it's more a problem with his drive rather than the programs he uses, perhaps you could try repairing windows?
