I have windows xp home edition, and I tried uninstalling windows media player, internet explorer and powerdvd and replacing it with my own non-bloated versions. now, somehow they're back on my computer, but this time I can't uninstall them. I don't know if I should clean everything off with the disc and put everything back or what.

would deeply appreciate some help.

How did you try uninstalling them? Was it via the add and remove software?

As far as I know you cant remove media player, you can only roll it back to MP9

Yea, I think the best you can do (atleast through add and remove programs) is to remove access to them from the desktop and start menu.

Internet explorer, windows media player cannot be uninstalled. You can remove the options for them from the start menu but that's it. You should be able to uninstall powerdvd though.
