I was trying to install my printer on my new build and getting an error message....usbhub.sys driver. its says its missing in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers but i looked in that folder and its in there. And when i re connect the usb from the printer the Found new hardware wizard pops up so i dont know how it would be missing.

Are the drivers supported for your Operating System?
What Operating System are you using?
What Printer brand and model?

I am using Windows XP Pro 64-bit. Idk about if the drivers are supported because i downloaded it from the HP side because i lost the CD and there are 2 options for a basic and full install doesn't say anything about a 32 or 64 bit drivers. I only tried the basic install but maybe the full install will work but that's unlikely

Can you elaborate on the printer model.

When I visit the HP "Support & Downloads" section I enter the model of my printer and I am then greeted with the following screen:

Make sure you select the corresponding operating system, for you it would be:

The full install offers extra features such as scanning and photo management, the basic version just installs the printing facility. I have used both drivers and have never encountered the issue you have.
