Default Vista sound recorder. how does it work

hi folks anyone can tell me the basic of the vista sound recorder. What i want to know if it is possible to record the sound of a video on the internet, i.e example youtube. thanks...

well, I would think you could do it if you have a jack to jack cable, so you can plug one end into the speaker out, and the other end into the micophone in. I don't know how good quality this will be, but I think it should work.

ok, well your speakers will probably use a jack to jack cable to connect to the computer, have a look at the back of your speakers and find a cable that looks like this at the end: it won't look exactly like that, but the end should look similar. when you find that, unplug it and take it down to the back of your computer, have a look around, and you should see a small hole (the same size as the plug you just unplugged) which has a pink coloured ring around it, plug it in there. There you go, you now have you speaker out, linked directly to your mic in. Let us know if you have any problems.
