Default Vista theme on XP

ive searched google and i want to get the vista theme with my xp.
i dont want to install any 3rd party programs as they are usually just spyware and junk anyways. ive already had a bad run in with themexp(crashed my computer)

i currently have Zune theme from the microsoft site. all i did was download the theme pack and install it.

anyone kow how to do that for the vista theme without installing any software?
i would prefer to use a theme pack that someone has already used and can approve that its not spyware or junk.

thanks a ton.

Try this,

It is sort of like a vista theme. But won't have the vista logo as the start menu.

I think i will have to e-mail it to you - drop me an e-mail and i will e-mail it yo you:

I have held back on warning you on this but stop offering to email files/programs to members.

It is piracy and we will not tolerate it here.

How about posting a link to the download site. If it is a legit program then it must be hosted somewhere right?

It's not hard to figure out.

I got it off a friend and have tried to find it on the net but is very hard to find!

And it is not a program.

Infact a program that you can change your themes etc is called "Windows Blinds" which is avaliable on the net.

We don't offer programs that have spyware. Thanks for the vote of confidence!

If you download the file from vk3fcll you are most likely downloading a torrent (and is why they won't link to it) which is not only illegal but you will have more then spyware to worry about.

Good luck.

You have to understand that any transformation pack is dangerous. Spyware/malware or not. They can run CPU usage way up and are not easy to uninstall. A reformat is many times the only way to get the system back to normal.

Be careful and read up on exactly what warnings are included.

Just in case people get the wrong idea here...

Downloading open source software via torrents is legal.

Downloading copyrighted software/music/films is illegal.
