Welcome.

How well a computer runs with regard viruses has little to do with being a PC or a MAC, it is down to you, the end user.

My PC never gets any viruses and Windows ticks along just fine.

All virus have to be run and installed by someone sat in front of the machine.

I would ask that over here http://www.computer-juice.com/forums/f54/

The choice is completely personal I feel Windows 7 is great and will really change your views and thoughts about Windows; it is a huge improvement over Vista.

Lets stick to one thread. As I said before they are all insecure if YOU do not take care. I can infect a MAC machine in less than 5 mins, as I can Windows and Firefox. They all claim to be more secure but the ONLY reason MACs get less viruses is because they are targeted less buy the nasty virus makers. It's a bit like making a real virus but so that it only works on people aged 103 whom work with fish on a Tuesday. You'd target the mass market right? Dont let that decide what you buy, buy what you want then wise up and work smart so it doesn't get infected.
