i have used winamp for years now and i have even purchased a key for it as i loved it so much ! recently thought i am starting to get...well dissapointed with the program.. every time there is an update..and i update it something decides to no longer work.. the first time this happened my visualization effects crashed winamp every time i started it..so i had to disable it..next update fixed that problem but now winamp stops responding some times when i start the program.the list goes on. every time there is an update something els goes wrong.. i have contacted winamp and got no reply now 6 emails no reply.. i understand if they already no about the problem and are trying to fix it but still should never ignor loyal customers..soon i am going to just find the old winamp program and never update it but i shouldn't have to do this specially as i have payed for the software. this is going to sound silly but i loved winamp so much! other winamp users will no why,,am a big fan of music and i feel so let down by winamp creators now anyone els had this problem?

The original Winamp developers were Nulsoft and these guys all departed, a little while after AOL bought out the company.
Most of the stuff AOL touch ends up dying or dead, so dont expect it to get any better

I gave up on WinAmp a few years ago. Just kept getting worse and worse.

You can install an older version. Might help clear up the issue. http://www.filehippo.com/download_winamp/

Yeah, Winamp went downhill. I just use foobar and that allows me to use ReplayGain and stuff a lot easier anyway.
