on one of my PC's at home, when a second user logs off it seems to hang for a long time and sometimes freezes. This often also occurs when a second user tries to shutdown.
any ideas welcome. |

Easiest and simplest thing to try 1st would be a windows repair.

Boot from the XP CD and get to the normal screen where you are just about to select the hard drive to install to, then press the option to repair instead. All your stuff will stay intact and windows will replace any dodgy files. Dave. My System: Hybr!d

I have installed SP2 If I go back to the disc won't that possibly overwrite something that has subsequently been updated already?
(and you are also assuming that I have a disc :? ) hehe |

It shouldn't make any difference if you have SP2 installed or not.
Do you have a CD then? Dave. |
