I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate on my 2 year old ASUS F3Sv laptop. I went to start it up this morning and it says Windows failed to start....
2 options: Launch startup repair Start windows normally Tried both with no success. I also tried rebooting sometimes when it's happened before that has worked. I also tried start it in safe mode and no success there either. I've not installed any hardware lately, the only thing I recently installed was some Windows updates for Office 2007 and Winzip. Any thoughts/suggestions would be much helpful. Although I won't be able to reply until tonight and I'm working today. Many thanks

If you have a Vista install disk (NOT a recovery disk) you can run the CD and repair the OS using command line.
When you get the command line open, type fixboot and fixmbr They should see you through to Windows Vista again. Then back all your stuff up and go buy Windows 7. |
