Which desktop? I have one in XP and 4 in Linux.

Have you done the uxtheme replacement?

The theme is called Royale Vista 2 Blue and I have the Google Desktop sidebar installed.

Thanks for your help, i think ill keep my theme now but the Google side bar is cool thanks

P.s I can seem to get rid of the news box in the side bar I'm not into news is there a way to do it?

Well, hover over it and you should get a "window bar" with 3 icons, <<, V and X. V lets you remove it.
