Default Bad ISP Providers?

Does anyone have anyone that they would recommend to stay away from? Or have you had any personal bad experiences with a certain company?

I am just going to say stay away from Homecall, I would list the reasons but they have abused me far to much to list them all.

When we first got broadband in our area, the only supplier was BT and being the computer fanatics we were we went ahead and purchased it.

Unfortunately, that tied us into a 12 month contract and after a few weeks I was starting to tire of downtime and poor customer service. Though things improved, we still had downtime which wasn't acceptable given how much we were paying.

Now we're using Telewest and haven't had a single problem in 14 months, touchwood.

I used to use Telewest at my old house I thought the service was excellent and I used there broadband service for well over a year before we moved, we also had their TV and phone service.
It's a shame I can't get their service in my new area as they have probably been the best that I have used.
