I am about to do some online web design courses and could do "Dreamweaver" and "Flash" courses.

I know a little about html and a little of web design use and the odd altering of html files in websites and using filezilla and photoshop etc.

So do you think Dreamweaver and Flash would be out of my league or ok for me to take on with the limited experience i have, or do you think i should take more basic stuff first.

I dont exactly want to design websites for a living just for me really and my own ideas.

Thanks

Dreamweaver/html is worth doing and within the learning means of anyone.

As we have spoke about SEO before and flash is not SEO/Google friendly I doubt it will come of much use.

Yeah, generally the only people to use flash are high end brands that are not interested in SEO beyond showing up for their brand name. Google cannot crawl flash, so having a flash homepage means all your juicy content beyond that is useless as far as SEO is concerned.

PHP is worth doing. Or maybe look at some sort of hosting/server course, that may come in handy.

I'd recommend PHP or if that isn't available, even JavaScript since both will allow you take your pages a tiny bit further.
