Default Building a site, advice please

Hi all, i am rebuilding my website and am looking for a free web building site. I already have a server sorted and the domain regestered. My site will be quite simple with a homepage and then 4 or 5 other pages branching off that. I am still quite new to this so a basic building site would be great, so all suggestions will be welcomed

I think if you're new to basic HTML it's best to use Notepad or some simple editor and learn the basics. Alternatively, you could you a WYSIWYG - What you see is what you get. This is when you see the result of the code live and are able to edit it. You're also allowed to change the result and the code will follow.

the one i built before was using microsoft live office beta and that was simple enough but you can't add your own pages. something like that would be good

Yeah, just learn simple HTML/CSS which is quick and easy to learn and you will be able to design and create a website in no-time. Keep it simple to start with, that would be best for a beginner.

there are programs such as dreamweaver which you can download a free trial off or even use *** Do not not tell people how to obtain illegal software ***
there are also things like frontpage which i have never used before but hear that it is good for simpler sites.
there may also be some freeware html wysiwyg editors a trip to google might help

I have a Coffeecup editor that works quite well. You can use javascript, it has a CSS builder/editor and gives you a WYSIWYG option. The only thing I don't like about it is the file management - mainly because it works contrary to the way I normally think, but then so does my car.
