 Can I Edit a Fla File?

am a beginner at this so be gentle with me
i have my self a fla file when i drag it into my web browser i can see the page all animating and sound.. i want to change the text on the menu bars. i only have the fla file ...

Can I Edit a Fla File?
am a beginner at this so be gentle with me
 i have my self a fla file when i drag it into my web browser i can see the page all animating and sound.. i want to change the text on the menu bars. i only have the fla file no other files..is this the only file i need to edit it? can i edit this fla file with a program to change text and so on.. i no i need dreamweaver and im lucky that a friend is going to let me borrow it. (cant ask him for help as his on holiday) hope some one can help thanks pete
