The reason I ask about being genuine is I know of a few bugs in Fireworks where it randomly closes dodgy copies when trying to save files.

Check your firewall settings

Re using DW to upload - it has a built in VERY smart ftp program designed specifically for webmasters. It looks for all the related files a given html page needs and asks if you wish to upload them too. So when you create a new page with, say two css files, two js files, six images, it does the lot for you. (you can say no if you've only editted the html itself) And it knows which folders they all belong in. Beats most ftp programs out of site (sight)

You've obviously never heard of SmartFTP. Also are you all such n00bs you have to use Dreamweaver? I make all my designs in Notepad. What's next you'll say you use Internet Explorer?

Plank, I have SmartFTP and it is NOT as good as DW's ftp system.

I actually hand code my pages, but use an old copy of DW just for it's excellent FTP program.

Notepad is a very bad way to build web pages, there are lots of vastly superior text editors to notepad that include syntax highlighting, autocompletion, help, built-in previews, some even include ftp.

But hey, you're banned and we all know that all you've done is slag off everything you post about. Try being constructive if you return, it's so much more helpful. Because that's what the forum is for.
