Hopefully someone can recommend something. I need a free web page creator software that is a little more advanced than: Type this, type that, bang! Here's your super-basic HTML code.

I would love to find something that will allow me to: Create/Preview like a word processor, but also allows me to see/use the HTML code as I create.

Ideally i'd love to paste my own code into the HTML interface, then turn around and preview it.

Ideas?

Dreamweaver is the best as editor and preview, but it is expensive. But I guess they let you use 30 days on trial. Or if you know, you can always find patch for the software :)

Yes, I think too for Dreamwaever, try it for 30 Days, you will design everything.
But there are still many other free programs, I will take a look than I will write here for it!

NVU was lasted updated about two years ago.

A newer version which is updated much more often is Kompozer, which is a bug fix of NVU with some extras. http://www.kompozer.net/
It has an active forum (unlike NVU) at http://wysifauthoring.informe.com/
