| Using PHP, how can I check that a newly registered user is the owner of the email he provided?Web sites usually send a verification email message to the provided email address. The verification message contains a link with some code in it. When the user clicks on such link, his email is validated.How can I create such a code? Shall I use a hash function to create that code? If so, which hash function? And on what piece of data shall I apply such a hash function? |
