I saw that AOL advert about the Internet, and it really got me wondering. Is the internet actually good or bad? Has it benefited, or had a negative influence over mankind?

What do you lot think about this delicate subject?

If I had to pick I'd say good. But the Internet is far too big & diverse to be put in a box an labeled IMO. Its both.

It all depends on what perspective you look at the Internet... Are you a protective parent? If so then the Internet can probably be bad in some areas e.g porn.
Are you a child? If so then you are going to love the online facilities like games, forums plus loads more.
Like Dave has said it is a bit of both.

That's probably why AOL chose it as an advert, there is no answer it only gets people debating, which is good marketing.

Good thinking I never though about it in that way, that is good marketing. Well it got dodgy to post here didn't it!
I am going to look out for more of these adverts and try and figure them out!
