Sorry for being rude and not introducing myself yet, but I just need advice as quick as possible please.

Not that clued up on computers

I wish to have a site that uses CMS and a Forum, maybe even a customized database package (at a later date)

I need to do this as cheap as possible. Do I need my own server? Can I use shared hosting? What would be my limits on this?

An Open Source Forum SMF or maybe push the boat out for VB
An Open Source CMS was thinking of Joomla, have used Vivvo before but the site kept getting hacked.

Realistically I am looking at 1000 members and upto 5000 hits a day. How much bandwidth would i need?

Any advice on hosts, costs and bandwidth would be appreciated

Thank You in Advance

Go for shared hosting, get a small package and work your way up.

There is no way you will over use sharded hosting right off the bat.

When you do, just upgrade to the next step up.

This sites hosts on www.csnewmedia.co.uk servers, and they are exceptional.

Dude you have one new website, go for the lowest package they do, which is - Bronze Linux Shared Hosting.

Linux IMO is better than windows hosting as it is better for SEO, but thats a whole new topic.
