Hi friends...
I was going to start with Java.
So, 1st tried to install its SDK. Downloaded "JAVA EE SDK 5" from sun.java.com. But during installation, it asked for the location of JDK

JDK Required
The Sun System Application Server requires a JDK.
Please provide the path to a JDK, version 5.0 or greater

What do i need to do now?
d/l and install something extra before installing SDK..??
i cant understand it, because when i searched, i came to know JDK and SDK is one and the same thing.(JDK being a sub-part of SDK).

If you want to start programming Java, you may as well go out and get NetBeans which if I remember correctly comes bundled with the JDK, unless you prefer Eclipse (which I don't use because of the folder structure)
All you need to do is go to sun.java.com, then downloads and grab the JDK.

The key is in the EE. The Enterprise Edition requires the SE to be installed first. It is as simple as that!
