Which program needed?

Hello!

I started to read a C++ guide, but it it starts out by saying that the best way to learn is by writing a program.. it's seems fair enough, but I haven't got told what kind of sfoftware I should use, or where to get it.

can anyone here help me out?

the microsft c++ editor
forgot what it is called go to M$ website and have a squint

Takes about a half hour to set up the compiler, but it's free of all the garbage in Visual C++ you won't need starting out.
