I could really use a copy of this software, outdated and dumbed down as it may be, but I intend on writing a (very) small program (I don't necessarily need to run it on this machine) for personal use & BASIC is ideal for my needs.

My question to anyone with knowledge of the likes is; Can I obtain any version of basic (old/new, trial, limited functionality doesn't matter) for free on the net? If so, where?

I don't know if there are any free Basic editors, I don't do programming. A google search for 'free basic editor' may give some possibilities.

Know one is going to give you links to pirate sources on this forum.
