A freee html editor with good highlighting that is good.

I don't like notepad or wordpad and i've tried notepad++ which still contains lots of bugs..

Heard of CoffeeCup html editor but is the free version as good as the paid version?

Try the pspad editor, i use it to edit my htaccess files, i use frontpage to play with my site templates though. pspad is free, simple and easy to use.

N-VU I always used to use, not too sure if its still available and being updated though, I'll have a look.

They don't seem to be releasing updates any more, but that has XP listed as OS, so Vista should be fine as well.
