| I personally am used to tables, but I am adapting to CSS divs and alignment properties as they are the future; they are also easier on load time. I wrote an article on this subject before, and I would love to share it with you all, but I never seeked permission to repost it, so I will provide a link. I hope it helps. http://www.sitetoolcenter.com/webmas...les-or-css.php What do you all prefer? |

| I used to always and only use tables, but now that I am older and I can spend more time learning, css is definately the way to go. The coding is so much more smarter and nicer to look at. The coding actually makes sense too. It took me a while to learn how to code in css only, but now I am getting the hang of it. :] |

| Css for layouts but I still use tables for structuring data from a database such as lists of results etc. If you come back to a tabled site after a few months it's a headache to work on where as css sites are a thing of beauty and ease :) I'm also a compliant developer so don't like sloppy code. | CSS / Divs - use tables for data that needs to be in a table. :) |

| CSS all the way! I cannot deny that I was a table user for a long time, though that was mainly because my roots are back in the days when divisions were not particularly advanced and allowed little in the way of formatting. I did spend too much time working with tables once CSS had been "invented", though since I have made a concious effort to learn and love the smoother and slicker code, as well as the ability to create entire blocks of content with a single line of code. The table has been long since retired as a means of laying out a page, though it will always be an essential tag when it comes to formatting tabulated data. |
