| I have cable, and my download speed is nice 10Mb, but my upload is only 512Kb :( I'm happy with my connection other than that - theres no cap, the latency is nice, and its great for games, but I do wish I had a slightly faster upload speed. I realise that cable wasn't really designed for high upstream, but I still dream of a hefty upload increase in the next round of upgrades. What do you have? Are you on cable or DSL? |

| You're unlikely to ever get a good ratio because uploading data is far more expensive than downloading data - think of it this way, you're simply downloading data that somebody else is uploading. It's unfortunate and I too have that problem and I'm only on a 2MBit/256kB Cable connection. In general use it doesn't really matter but I do a lot of server work and web-based stuff that relies on the use of FTP. Uploading gigs of data at 256kbps is painful! |
