Default Visual Basic 6

Hello. I'm new to programming and only have knowledge in html coding. I am planning on beginning my study of Visual Basic 6, and I was wondering if any of you could offer some sites, or applications which can help me get started. I've checked some tutorials, but I really have a hard time grasping their concept. I am not financially stable enough to buy any majorly expensive books at the moment. Thanks for your contribution.

It was given to me as a gift for going to university.

Amazon sell secondhand books.
As VB 6 was replaced several years ago by VB.net, there are likely to be several titles available.
Try looking for Deitel and Deitel How to program (insert topic/language)

PS At the nine Unis and Colleges I've attended, students bought books, and the uni/colleges all had a library where you could borrow books. ;)
