Hey Guys,
Just wondering what you guys are using mainly for your META set up?. Right now, I just have the META Description and META keywords. I read so many contradictive (sp) articles all over the net on META, that I am unsure. Being unsure as a developer is not good news. I used the basic, web development , graphic design soforth in my META. Some major sites I see, only contain the same as myself and others have a large list of META's. So what is best?. I got to admit, I have put more effort into my programming than learning actual META marketing methods over the past year. Some sites say that META does not really do much anymore??,, I find this rather strange. Is it true or a gross underestimate of the true power of META??. Is it worthwhile using the META Author attribute?. Thought, i would get other developers views on this subject and hopefully some help. Thanks |

I just use meta description, everything else is pretty much ignored by the SE's.

I have also read that meta keywords are not a big deal because people were spamming with their words and I believe it was Google that first started ignoring them. I have not added them to the sites I have created.
