Okay, This may sound like a stupid question...
Does it matter what host you use for your webpage? I was considering justhost.com, Does anyone have any preferences? |

Yeah it matters, customer service differs from host to host amongst other things.

We use layershift and their customer service is better than any I've seen, and we've tried many hosts over the years. Why have you chosen justhost? Any particular reason? My System: Hybr!d

Lol. No reason at all! I know nothing of hosting. I just saw they had a low price and had some good reviews. [I am planning on making a website for a small business]

The biggest issues are support, some hosts charge for the smallest of things, others help with every query you have included in the price. Some are around evenings and weekends so are not.
Uptime, some hosts have poor equipment, poor skill, there are lots of cowboys etc. And overselling, where they oversell the resources to maximize the profit from one server on shared hosting. Beware of cheap, cheap prices and unlimited bandwidth, disk space, speed etc. There are 1,000's to choose from, best thing to do is go off a good recommendation you can trust, like a friend or something. |

I hope choosing a good web hosting service is a big problem and includes lots of confusion. Because most of them get attracted by simple quotes like unlimited domains , unlimited bandwidth , etc which is absolutely not true. When i transferred my blog from blogger to wordpress I had the same problem. At that time I came across this web hosting directory which contains about 147 web hosts under all major servers from windows , Linux , Apache , etc.
