You just need a shared or virtual web host account. Go for tested web hosts companies with proven track record. Don't just rely on the rate because cheap hosts could be fly by night web hosts.

I've tried a few companies over the years and went to godaddy.com because that's where I buy my domain names. I may have to branch out because I suspect there are much better companies for the money. They just aren't as well known as godaddy.

I am hosting in two companies right now: a single account in hostgator.com and a reseller in rochen.com

Hostgator gives you a good product for the money but they might be overselling. Anyway for a blog, you are not going to see any difference. Rochen is a small and dedicated company, home of the joomla community. They have state of the art plans with dual for business, but the memory and bandwitch they offer is smaller.

They both have good customer service and go the extra mile to help. With hostgator you need to know exactly what you want and be willing to do some research, the people of rochen know their system upside down.

Sandra. :)
