I'm lucky, I'm on unmetered bandwidth.

My friend has a 50GB limit - he almost never hits it, but all he does is browse forums and download the occasional game demo.

My niece has a 1GB limit - yes, only 1GB! I don't think she's hit it yet - she just browses the occasional web site, IMs her friends and plays Neopets. That said, her machine got rather virus / spyware infested, and that was eating bandwidth for a while.

Does your ISP limit your bandwidth? If so, whats your cap, and do you ever hit it?

Fortunately not, though it is fairly commonplace particularly here in the UK where bandwidth is at a premium.

For around £20 a month I get an uncapped 2MBit connection - it's not the fastest or the cheapest, but I've yet to have a problem with the service and get cheap TV and Phone Line on top.

I think I'd obliterate the 1GB quota within a day if I wasn't careful, never mind a month!

I get limited to 6gb a week which is perfect as that's not even a gb a day.. I am switching providers as I can't stand this limit. It's not the fact I download illegal stuff, it's the fact I upload a lot via ftp to my sites including flash games etc things like that which are quite a few mb each.
Also that 6gb limit is my upload to..

I'm at University at the moment and our student accomodation isn't ment to have a cap but ever few weeks it stops working and an engineer has to come and fiddle with the boxs. Within a minute it's working again.

I suspect we do have a limit thats quite high, at first everyone was using bit torrent and such and it would stop the net working every few days.

I have a download limit of 10 GB and an upload limit of 2 GB.
I think this is really old fashioned and I often hit the limit.
The only thing I can do is buy extra volumes and they charge about 1 euro a GB
