In Heading:
Keywords in Title, description and keywords themselves. In Content: Keywords in <H1>, <H2>, etc. keywords in bold. Keyword density between 7-10%, no more or you can be banned. Develop the whole website around one-two keywords and you can think on a third keyword for internal pages (the same or different) Keywords in file names and folders. Keywords in meta information of pictures. If you work with php, try to make the titles as search engine friendly as possible. Link to the Sitemap in all the pages. Promotion: Article promotion is what worked best for me. Sandra.:) |

Link to big sites
Get links from similar sites to yours Update content as often as possible Give people reason to link to your website, if it's just a signiture image they can link to for forum use, it's another link to your website (not amazingly rated but it helps). XHTML and CSS clear markup IF possible (it's not always). There are hundreds of different things you can do, it took me about 5 years of experimentation and learning to get my website to number 1 position in Google, and it would take me just as long to remember everything I tried. The Big 3. 1. Links back to your website 2. Update content regularly 3. Titles of pages and articles should relate to content. |
