you can do it yourself, find a banner thats the size u want, save to computer, open in any graphics program u have, and edit (u can start from scratch if u know the inch/pixel size)

Bannerbreak is also a good site and they look professional for a free internet site however they are used alot on the internet and wouldnt reccoment it for a long term banner

you are best off making it yourself or getting a background and editing it or paying someone to make one which can vary in price from as little as £5 to £100 depending on what you want time scale and quality

This site is ok if you want your banner to be very generic, however, as stated before, using a graphics editor (Photoshop, Corel) to create a static banner is a better option if you want it to look exactly how you visualize.

For an eye-catching animated banner, download Flash from www.adobe.com It's very advanced software - animation autoring tool. It can be confusing, but I know that you can then download templates from the internet and these can be edited very easily by just replacing images :)
