Default Why am I getting "No input file specified" for

AuthUserFile in .htaccess file? I am using a .htaccess file in apache to password protect a directory. I use the AuthUserFile command to specify the .htpasswd file. But when I view the directory in a web browser I get "no input file specified". I have triple checked the path to the file and everything looks fine. The contains are as follows:AuthUserFile /path/to/file/.htpasswdAuthName "Login Area"AuthType Basicrequire user user12345Anyone have this problem before?

With respect, and in the nicest possible way, it isyou yourself, who has created the problem! ;o)Why are you using,'AuthUserFile /path/to/file/.htpasswd' ???Your password file should be a simple text file, containing, a user name, and a pre-encrytedpassword. This user name/password combinationcan be created and written to a file of your choosingusing the *htpasswd* command.Maybe you should look a little closer at how this allworks? See the links below, and then follow theinstructions to the letter.HTH.
