Hello, I couldn't install a custom theme as I kept getting a notification about the parent directory having the wrong file permissions.
So I changed the permissions of the /httpdocs/wp-content/plugins and /httpdocs/wp-content/themes folders to 777. Then I read that I really shouldn't have needed to do that, can someone recommend a better configuration? In addition, whilst using FileZilla, I um unable to view the .htaccess file in the home directory, even though I have been to the options menu, Server > Force showing hidden files. In the remote file list, at the bottom, the status panel states the four files are hidden and this is one of them. What am I doing wrong? Thank you for your consideration. |

Also, does anyone have any idea why the page has a break at the bottom? I've only just noticed it, but can't work out what I have done that has caused it.
<sorry, no urls please> |

My themes dir is 755 and works just fine. Also if there are errors in the template you either edited the template files so revert back or you haven't uploaded all the images or files.

Hello Hybr!d, thank you for your response.
Could you please tell me what configuration you have for the plugins and uploads folders as well? I'm going to revert the files back to the originals to see if that helps. |
