Default Addicted?

Ahh, we all hear the stories about the Maniac game-players who get addicted to a game and neglect basic stuff like food and sleep.

The question is, have you ever been Addicted to a game? I started playing WoW, which I was warned about, but frankly, I did not get anywhere near "Addictedness".

If you were addicted, how/when did you get over it?

I once got addicted to the Sims, I would stay up all night and day playing the game also not eating. I actually became weak and ill, it's terrible I know. In the end my mum took my PS2 away from me and took all the games (sort of going cold turkey). It drove me crazy but I got over it and got back to my normal ways, she never gave me that specific game back though.
