Default Authentication infinite amount of time

Hey,
I am wondering if anyone can help me troubleshoot a few probs that i have with WoW:
1. Unlimited wait time when "Retrieving Character List"
2. After deleting Cache, Interface and WTF folders from the main folder to solve above problem and now there is unlimited wait time when "Authenticating"

Also today was the big day for patch 3.0.1/2 and their are still a few realms down and the official site has been unfindable for most of the day.

Thanks for any help and i shall keep posted on any changes.

NEW DEVELOPEMENT-- Now i am stuck with the "Connecting" stage and it fails most of the time even though i have an active connection to the internet.

Well it turns out that EVERYTHING was down for another 8 hours at blizzard so instead of the maintenance taking 12hrs as it should have, it took 20... Anyways, now everything is fine and the game is even better now.
